What it is

The hill above the port, holding the Joan Miró Foundation, the national art museum, the 1992 Olympic stadium and a castle at the top.

Getting there

Metro Espanya and walk up, or the funicular from Paral·lel on a normal metro ticket.

When to go

Afternoon into evening, ending at the castle for the view over the port.

On a student budget

The gardens and the viewpoints are free; the funicular counts as a metro journey rather than a separate fare, which is the trick most visitors miss.
