Montjuïc
A hill of museums, gardens and the Olympic ring
- What it is
- The hill above the port, holding the Joan Miró Foundation, the national art museum, the 1992 Olympic stadium and a castle at the top.
- Getting there
- Metro Espanya and walk up, or the funicular from Paral·lel on a normal metro ticket.
- When to go
- Afternoon into evening, ending at the castle for the view over the port.
- On a student budget
- The gardens and the viewpoints are free; the funicular counts as a metro journey rather than a separate fare, which is the trick most visitors miss.
