Park Güell
Half free, half ticketed — know which half
- What it is
- A hillside park Gaudí designed as a housing estate that failed commercially. The mosaic terrace and the gatehouses are the famous part.
- Getting there
- Metro Lesseps or Vallcarca, then a climb, or bus 24 to the side entrance.
- When to go
- Early. The monumental zone has timed entry and sells out.
- On a student budget
- The wider park is free and has the same view; only the monumental core is ticketed at around €10. Residents can enter the paid zone free with proof of address — worth asking about once you have a rental contract.
