Sagrada Família

What it is

Gaudí's basilica, begun in 1882 and still under construction. The interior is the point — a stone forest with light coming through coloured glass that changes completely between morning and afternoon.

Metro Sagrada Família, lines L2 and L5.

When to go

Book a timed slot. Morning light comes through the blue and green side; late afternoon through the reds.

On a student budget

Around €26 and up, which is the most expensive ticket in this guide — but there is a reduced student rate, and buying online is both cheaper and the only realistic way in. Never queue at the door.
