The Cathedral and the Royal Chapel

What it is

A Renaissance cathedral in the middle of the shopping streets, built on the site of the main mosque, with the Royal Chapel beside it holding the tombs of the Catholic Monarchs.

Getting there

In the centre, five minutes from Plaza Nueva. You will pass it constantly.

When to go

Any weekday morning. Both close for a long lunch.

On a student budget

Each is a few euros and takes under an hour, so it is a good gap-between-classes visit rather than a day. The Royal Chapel is the more interesting of the two if you only do one.
