The Cathedral and the Royal Chapel
Isabella and Ferdinand are buried here
- What it is
- A Renaissance cathedral in the middle of the shopping streets, built on the site of the main mosque, with the Royal Chapel beside it holding the tombs of the Catholic Monarchs.
- Getting there
- In the centre, five minutes from Plaza Nueva. You will pass it constantly.
- When to go
- Any weekday morning. Both close for a long lunch.
- On a student budget
- Each is a few euros and takes under an hour, so it is a good gap-between-classes visit rather than a day. The Royal Chapel is the more interesting of the two if you only do one.
