What it is

The medieval centre, with a cathedral that claims to hold the Holy Grail and a bell tower — the Micalet — you can climb. El Carmen, the quarter beside it, is where the bars are.

On a student budget

The tower climb is a couple of euros and gives the view over the whole city. El Carmen at night is cheap if you stay off the main squares.
