Who we are

Geuropia places international students on Spanish language courses in Spain. We are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at geuropia.edu@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you submit an application we collect: your name, date of birth, email address, phone number and emergency contact; your postal address; your nationality, passport number and passport expiry date; the course, city, dates and accommodation you are applying for; your Spanish level and any comments you add.

If you upload documents, we also process the contents of those documents — typically a passport photo page, a passport-style photograph and educational certificates.

We do not ask for, and do not want, information about your health, religion, political views or any other special category of data. Please do not send it.

Why we process it

To prepare and submit your enrolment to the school you have chosen, which is our performance of the agreement you enter into with us.

To prepare the documents a Spanish consulate requires for a student visa, where you have asked us to.

To answer your questions and keep you informed about the progress of your application.

Who sees it

The language school you are applying to, which needs it to enrol you and to issue your acceptance letter.

Our admissions team, who work in a private messaging workspace where each application is handled in its own thread. Access is limited to staff working on applications.

Nobody else. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Where it is held

Application records are stored on servers in the European Union. Documents you upload are transmitted to our admissions workspace, which is operated by Telegram FZ-LLC and may store data outside the European Economic Area.

How long we keep it

Application records are kept for as long as we are working on your application, and for up to three years afterwards so that we can answer questions about a past enrolment or visa file.

Uploaded documents are deleted from our own servers once they have reached the admissions workspace. Ask us and we will remove them from there too.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our processing it. Write to us and we will respond within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to a data protection authority in the country where you live.

Cookies and measurement

This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics. Nothing you do here is shared with an advertising network or an analytics company.

If you agree to it, we measure how the site is used — which pages were seen, how far they were read, what was clicked, and where the application form loses people. The lawful basis is your consent, you are asked before anything is stored, and you can withdraw it at any time on the cookies page. Declining costs you nothing: every part of this site works the same either way.

That measurement never records what you type. It records that a field reported an error, not its contents. Individual events are deleted after twelve months.

If you write to us from a link on this site and you have agreed to measurement, the address the link opens carries a short random tag so we know which visit led to the message. It says nothing about you and you are free to remove it.

The Talk to us page sends your questions to Anthropic, which runs the model that answers them, and runs a Cloudflare Turnstile check to tell a person from a script. Those are the only two companies that receive anything from this site, both only on that page, and neither receives your name, your documents or your application. Emailing us instead avoids both.

Your language preference is remembered in the address of the page you are on, not in a cookie, and a partly completed application is saved in your own browser so you can finish it later. Nothing in that saved draft is sent to us until you submit it.
